The Cathedral Bar is housed in a stunning 100-year-old landmark property at the nexus of Broadway and Telegraph Avenue in Downtown Oakland. The beauty of the building and its ornate gothic tracery inspired us to purchase both the storefront and basement unit to create a dynamic, two tiered cocktail lounge and venue. We endeavor to offer a new nightlife destination to complement Downtown Oakland’s burgeoning bar scene. Focusing on craft cocktails and small bite bocadillo sandwiches, the Cathedral Bar will mix sophistication with grit. By harnessing the momentum in Oakland’s redevelopment, The Cathedral Bar is poised to become an institution for decades to come.
